Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting the organization’s financial health. This role is ideal for a proactive Senior Accountant who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage general ledger activity and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and grant tracking
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and regulations
  • Coordinate audits and assist with preparation of audit schedules
  • Partner with internal teams to support financial transparency and reporting
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and support team development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with fund accounting and grant reporting is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
