A growing organization in the Indianapolis area is seeking an HR Manager to oversee day‑to‑day human resources operations and partner with leadership to support employees and organizational goals. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic involvement with hands‑on execution across core HR functions.
The HR Manager will serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders while ensuring compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement across HR processes.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee core HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and policy administration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and employees on HR‑related matters
- Manage hiring processes, onboarding, and coordination with internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Administer benefits programs and act as a liaison with benefit providers
- Support training, development, and employee engagement initiatives
- Lead or support HR projects related to process improvement and organizational effectiveness
- Maintain HR records, reporting, and documentation with a high level of confidentiality
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required)
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Experience operating at the manager level with independent ownership of HR functions
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting employee relations and working closely with leadership
- Strong communication, judgment, and problem‑solving skills
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP) preferred but not required
- Base salary range of $85K–$105K, depending on experience
