HR Generalist (Interim)

We’ve partnered with a growing, mid-sized construction company in the DTC area that needs a confident, hands-on HR professional to keep operations running smoothly during a temporary leave. What You’ll Be Doing- Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and leaders, providing daily guidance and support
- Lead employee relations efforts, including coaching, investigations, and documentation
- Support performance management and disciplinary processes with consistency and care
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across a multi-state workforce
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle changes
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation
- Partner with leadership to address evolving business and workforce needs
- Assist with leave administration and general HR operations
- 3+ years of HR Generalist (or similar) experience
- Strong employee relations background and ability to navigate sensitive situations
- Proven ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of multi-state employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and sound judgment
- Professionalism and discretion with confidential information
- Background in construction, environmental, or field-based industries
- Experience supporting multi-state or distributed teams
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (Paylocity a plus)
- HR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR)
