You will work with patients in a skilled nursing facility recovering from injury or illness, helping them improve mobility, independence, and quality of life under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited educational program.
- Active Texas PTA license required to start the assignment.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC required or must obtain prior to start.
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform therapeutic exercise, transfers, gait training, and safe patient handling.
- Familiarity with documentation in electronic medical records preferred.
- Client requires reliable clinical references and demonstrated competency in geriatric rehabilitation preferred.
