We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist patients in improving independence, increasing functional abilities, and achieving rehabilitation goals. This position supports patients with physical, developmental, cognitive, and emotional challenges across a variety of healthcare settings.

Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist
  • Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, coordination, strength, and functional performance
  • Monitor patient performance and progress during treatment sessions and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safety strategies
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with preparing treatment areas and maintaining therapy equipment
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support continuity of care
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a safe and professional environment
  • Support patients in achieving maximum independence and improved quality of life
Requirements
  • Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Required: Active COTA license in state of practice or ability to obtain
  • Preferred: Previous occupational therapy or healthcare experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
