Senior Construction Accountant

We’re hiring a Senior Accountant to support large, complex construction projects. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys being close to the operations side of the business, not just sitting behind a desk closing the books.

In this role, you’ll work directly with project teams, take ownership of the financials, and help keep projects on track from a cost and cash flow perspective. There’s also an opportunity to mentor junior staff and step more into a leadership role over time.

• You’ll be involved in major construction projects (often $100M+)
• Work closely with project managers and leadership, not in a silo
• A mix of day-to-day accounting and bigger-picture financial oversight
• Opportunity to guide and develop junior team members
• Strong systems in place (SAP, Textura, Excel) to support your work
• Stable company with a solid pipeline of projects

• Handle project accounting from start to finish
• Manage AIA billings, WIP, AR, and contract compliance
• Review contracts to understand billing terms, costs, and timing
• Oversee AP for subcontractors and vendors
• Support month-end close, forecasting, and cash tracking
• Work with project teams to keep an eye on profitability and risk
• Help train and support junior accounting staff

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related)
• Around 4–6 years of experience in construction or project accounting
• Comfortable with job costing, AIA billing, and contract work
• Someone who’s open to mentoring or leading others
• Strong Excel skills; SAP/Textura experience is helpful but not required
