About the Role
Altru Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to individuals requiring rehabilitative services following illness, injury, or surgery. You will coordinate and deliver direct patient care, including assessments, care planning, medication administration, wound care, and ongoing evaluation of patient progress toward functional recovery goals. Collaborating closely with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other members of an interdisciplinary team, you will help design and implement individualized care plans that promote optimal mobility, independence, and quality of life. You will educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication management, safety, and self-care strategies to support successful transitions from the hospital to home or other care settings. Working within Altru’s collaborative and innovation-focused culture, you will contribute to a safe, healing environment by adhering to evidence-based practices, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements. You will document all care in the electronic health record accurately and in a timely manner, participate in shift handoffs and team huddles, and advocate for patient needs and preferences.
