Physical Therapy Assistant - Travel Contract

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active California PTA license required to start the assignment.
• Outpatient experience required. No new graduates.
• Experience performing 60-minute evaluations and providing treatment sessions.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• Ability to complete timely, accurate documentation including evaluations, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessment, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry per clinic policies and payer guidelines.
• Demonstrated competence in safe patient handling and materials handling practices.
• Adherence to state Practice Act, facility policies, and professional code of conduct. Maintain licensure and required continuing education.
• Preferred: Experience in student supervision and participation in clinical education programs.

• Duration: 13 Week assignment.
• Schedule: 5x8 shift pattern.

• Must provide outpatient-specific clinical skills including comprehensive evaluations, plan of care development, and delegation/direction of discipline-specific services for assigned patients.
