Medical Veterinarian

Barbers Hill Animal Hospital, a full-service veterinary clinic in Mont Belvieu, TX, is seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our client-focused team. Our practice provides comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, and preventive care for dogs and cats, supported by modern diagnostics and a highly skilled support staff. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to canine and feline patients in a general practice environment. Your day will include performing thorough physical exams, obtaining detailed patient histories, and developing individualized diagnostic and treatment plans. You will manage a mix of wellness visits, medical workups, soft tissue surgeries, and dental procedures, including cleanings, radiography, and extractions as appropriate. Using in-house diagnostics, digital imaging, and reference laboratories, you will interpret test results and radiographs to guide sound clinical decisions, always prioritizing patient comfort and safety. You will play a key role in client education, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and home-care instructions in a clear, compassionate manner that builds trust and long-term relationships. Preventive care is central to our philosophy, so you will design tailored wellness protocols, including vaccinations, parasite prevention, nutrition counseling, and senior care plans that support each pet’s long-term well-being. As part of our collaborative culture, you will work closely with experienced technicians and support staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient flow and excellent customer service. You will maintain meticulous electronic medical records, follow hospital protocols and regulatory guidelines, and contribute to a safe, well-organized clinical environment. You will also be encouraged to participate in case discussions, peer consultation, and mentoring of less-experienced team members, helping to foster a supportive learning atmosphere.
