About the Role

Georgetown Veterinary Hospital in Savannah, Georgia is seeking a compassionate, team-oriented Associate Veterinarian to join our full-service small animal practice. As part of a collaborative veterinary health team, you will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to dogs and cats while building trusted relationships with clients and the local community. In this role, you will perform comprehensive wellness and sick-pet examinations, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, and provide preventive care including vaccinations, parasite control, and nutrition counseling. You will utilize our in-house diagnostics and imaging to work up medical cases, interpret laboratory results and radiographs with the support of experienced colleagues, and communicate clearly with pet owners about findings, options, and recommended care. The Associate Veterinarian will participate in soft-tissue surgeries appropriate to their skill level, such as spays, neuters, mass removals, and wound procedures, as well as support our dental program through oral exams, dental radiographs, and treatment of periodontal disease. You will work closely with our skilled technicians and support staff to ensure safe anesthesia, effective pain management, and a low-stress experience for every patient. Daily responsibilities include maintaining thorough and accurate electronic medical records, collaborating with the veterinary team on case management, and helping to triage and stabilize urgent cases when they arise.
