Mainframe Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe developer for a Contract with a client in Columbus, OH (Remote). The candidate will develop and enhance mainframe applications while supporting DB2‑based components and ensuring reliable system performance. Rate Range: 45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Mainframe Developer Job Responsibilities Develop and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2 to support core business functions. Analyze, modify, and optimize DB2‑based application components for improved performance and reliability. Troubleshoot production issues by identifying defects, debugging mainframe jobs, and implementing effective fixes. Execute unit testing, integration testing, and validation of mainframe modules to ensure high‑quality delivery. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical mainframe solutions. Maintain batch processes, stored procedures, and application logic while ensuring adherence to coding and performance standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. 6–8 years of experience in mainframe application development and DB2 programming. Strong hands‑on expertise in Mainframe development, including COBOL, JCL, and DB2 application components. Proven ability to analyze, modify, and troubleshoot mainframe applications and batch processes in production environments. Pay Details $45.00 to $49.00 per hour.
