About The Role As an Implementation Manager, you will be the key driver in ensuring new customers successfully adopt the Canvas platform. You will lead clients through discovery, configuration, solution design, integration set up, and training. You will act as the customer‑facing quarterback to ensure clinical workflows are implemented seamlessly for a successful go‑live. Key components of this role include technical fluency and clear communication. You should be comfortable discussing topics such as system design, APIs, data models, and SDK‑driven extensions and translating those concepts into plain language for non‑technical stakeholders. You will bridge the gap between customer teams and internal Canvas teams by understanding system design, clarifying requirements, and turning complex technical details into actionable implementation plans that help customers adopt Canvas confidently within their broader ecosystem. This position is an excellent fit for individuals with experience in healthcare technology, project management, and SaaS implementations, who excel in fast‑paced, customer‑facing environments. What You’ll Do Lead Implementations End‑to‑End Own implementation plans, timelines, scope, and stakeholder communication from kickoff through go‑live. Run discovery to understand clinical, operational, data migration, and integration needs; translate findings into an implementation plan. Manage risks, dependencies, and change control; keep projects moving with crisp updates and clear decision‑making. Workflow & Configuration Delivery (Core Product) Partner with client clinical and operational leaders to design and implement workflows aligned to best practices. Serve as a subject matter expert, helping customers understand system capabilities and Canvas best practices. Guide customers through adoption milestones and ensure usability for end users. Plugin & Extensibility Delivery (SDK / API) Confidently navigate API/SDK concepts to unblock workflows. Examples: Walk a developer through generating API keys. Explain specific API resources and basic error troubleshooting. Translate workflows into SDK‑backed solutions. Use AI tools to accelerate plugin development and iterate on existing plugins (e.g. Claude code). Translate customer workflows into plugin requirements and high‑level designs. Post‑Go‑Live Success & Continuous Improvement Lead stabilization and transition to ongoing support/customer success team. Identify repeatable patterns, plugin gaps, and process improvements; share insights with internal teams. Coordinate internally with Product, Engineering, and Support to resolve questions and drive outcomes. What We’re Looking For Implementation experience in healthcare SaaS, EHR/EMR, practice management, billing, payer connectivity, clinical operations tools, or adjacent health tech. Strong project management fundamentals: scoping, milestones, RAID (risks/assumptions/issues/dependencies), stakeholder comms. Ability to reconstruct solutions from fundamental elements to drive radical innovation. Individuals that approach ambiguous problems with a hypothesis‑driven mindset, identify key inputs/feedback loops, and test assumptions before scaling a solution. Technical curiosity and learning agility — able to become conversant in APIs/SDKs quickly. Experience collaborating with engineering/product on complex issues. Comfort operating in a fast‑paced environment, running structured meetings, maintaining internal key stakeholders updated, and driving decisions. Experience with go‑live planning and on‑site/virtual launch support. Nice to Haves Experience training clinical staff and building enablement materials. Familiarity with data migration concepts. Location Remote position within the United States, with occasional travel to our San Francisco office for team events and customer sites when needed.
