About the Role
Duke University - - Responsibilities: Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance on all air conditioner units, water coolers, split systems, heat pumps, mixing boxes, and refrigeration equipment; Clean mechanical rooms, pick up and deliver parts, assist other mechanics, and assist all higher-level mechanics in their areas of responsibility; Perform preventive maintenance on airside equipment (i.e., AHU, exhaust fan, supply fan) and waterside equipment (i.e., coils, pumps, towers); Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair DX equipment, including condensing units up to 5 tons, ice machines, freezers, and other refrigeration systems; Troubleshoot and repair hermetic, semi-hermetic, reciprocating, and scroll DX systems and chillers
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Assist other mechanics and maintain mechanical rooms.
- Troubleshoot and repair DX equipment and chillers.
Qualifications
- Experience with HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Ability to troubleshoot DX systems and chillers
- General maintenance skills
