Cohen Children's Northwell Health is seeking a full-time board eligible/board certified Pediatric Hospitalist to direct the inpatient Pediatrics Unit and lead the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital . We offer an evidence-based, rewarding clinical practice in a collegial unit staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Residents and advanced care practitioners. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in Pediatric Hospital Medicine, a track record in teaching and supervising residents, and the requisite administrative skills to lead a skilled team of hospitalists. Candidates will enjoy working in our recently opened state-of-the-art Gruppuso Women and Newborn Center (30 private rooms and 4,000 annual deliveries) and can anticipate playing an integral role in design and operations of our future new inpatient pediatric unit which is currently in development.

Lead role in developing clinical protocols
Attend administrative and academic meetings
Oversee clinical care and hospitalist quality initiatives while supervising trainees in our ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program
Participate in clinical research
Collaborate with Cohen Children's Medical Center to implement best practices, develop clinical policies and procedures, and participate in scholarly activities
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a collaborative team of four Pediatric Hospitalists covering both newborn nursery and inpatient pediatrics. Our 20-bed inpatient pediatric unit is supported by all pediatric subspecialties, as well as pediatric general surgery, orthopedics, trauma, otolaryngology, and ophthalmology. Pediatric intensivists cover our 4-bed PICU. Labor & Delivery is covered by our Level 3 NICU and 24/7 in-house neonatologists.
