Job Title: Controller
Location: Alliance, Ohio
Salary: $156,000 annually (equivalent to $75/hour)

Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to lead financial operations and drive strategic decision-making? We are seeking a Controller to join our team in Alliance, Ohio. In this role, the Controller will oversee critical accounting functions and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

The ideal Controller is a strategic thinker who can also stay hands-on with day-to-day accounting operations. This Controller will partner with leadership to support business growth, improve processes, and maintain strong financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Establish and maintain internal controls to protect company assets
• Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership as a Controller

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proven ability to manage accounting operations and teams
• Advanced analytical and organizational skills
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and leadership abilities expected of a Controller
