Business Systems Analyst (erp / Sql / Ssrs)

HumCap’s client in the industrial distribution industry is searching for an ERP Specialist. With a 75+ year legacy of service in Texas, this family-owned company has experienced exciting growth. In the past 5 years they have increased revenue 3X and employ over 400 people. The ERP Specialist will act as a strategic interface and liaison between the IT department and other departments within the organization. This role involves managing the implementation and customization of the ERP (Epicor Prophet 21), line of business applications, and supporting reporting/BI activities for the company. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of business processes, system functionality, and the ability to turn business requirements into technical solutions. This is a hybrid role in Las Colinas, TX. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations and troubleshooting issues in the ERP system, serving as the primary contact for application-related questions and solutions. Manage new feature implementations, administer customizations, and perform system upgrades in accordance with the company’s upgrade strategy. Implement new features and functions of the ERP across the enterprise by collaborating with other key stakeholders. Manage the design, development, testing and implementation of system integrations ensuring seamless dataflows and automation. Regularly analyze current system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement new processes or systems as necessary. Facilitate communication between IT and various business units, interpreting and translating business needs into technical requirements and IT solutions. Develop and deliver training materials to users of various software applications and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting. Work with business units and IT teams to develop, maintain, and improve reporting and business intelligence systems, tools, and processes. Write SQL queries, create stored procedures and design reports as needed. Ideal Background Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or field related experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role Strong knowledge of Epicor Prophet 21 and BI applications Proficiency in project management and change management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated expertise in SQL query writing, including a strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices. Able to create, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries to extract insights from databases. Extensive experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), including the design, development, testing, and deployment of professional, data-driven reports. Familiarity with creating both standard and ad-hoc reports, with a focus on accuracy, presentation, and timely delivery.
