About the Role
The Georgia Public Defender Council is seeking to hire a Business Support Analyst II for the Central Office located in Atlanta. This position is responsible for creating and analyzing a variety of reports to support agency operations and leadership decision-making. The selected candidate will oversee the development and support the management of programs and projects, while providing strategic analysis of data within the agency's case management systems. This role may also assist with training and providing guidance to team members as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.

Under general supervision, performs complex analytical duties involving statistical, financial, and operational data to support management decision-making within Public Defender Offices. Partners with internal divisions to identify and resolve challenges related to performance metrics, including operations, case management, and procedural processes. Exercises a high degree of independent judgment and discretion in carrying out responsibilities. Provides high-level support for special projects, grants, contracts, and the implementation of policies and procedures, as well as other specialized functions. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Business Support Analyst II Associate degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience related to area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Busi Support Analyst 1 (GSP130). Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
