Job Title: Order Entry Specialist
Location: North Houston, TX 77088
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $20/hour
Position Overview
A company in North Houston is seeking a highly accurate and detail‑oriented Order Entry Specialist to support a fast‑paced shipping and operations department. This role requires strong typing accuracy, excellent computer proficiency, and the ability to work quickly between multiple software platforms. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working under pressure while meeting strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter orders accurately and efficiently into internal systems.
- Transfer data from paper logs to digital spreadsheets and verify accuracy.
- Maintain organized electronic files and records.
- Support shipping processes, including LTL and small‑package shipments.
- Handle billing, returns, credits, and understand how these workflows tie together.
- Answer phone calls and emails professionally.
- Assist with customer inquiries and coordinate information with other departments.
- Work independently while supporting the overall team.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and errors.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned.

- Proficient typing skills (50+ WPM) with high accuracy.
- Strong Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Ability to work across multiple software systems simultaneously.
