Virtual Speech Language Pathologist
IEP Therapy
Lafayette, Indiana, US
About the Role
IEP Therapy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Virtual Speech Language Pathologist to provide high‑quality teletherapy services to K–12 students in school settings. As a member of our Healthcare & Medical Services department within the Education & Training industry, you will deliver speech and language evaluations and therapy sessions online, helping students overcome communication challenges and achieve their educational goals. Working closely with special education teams, teachers, and families, you will develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals, document student progress, and ensure compliance with school, district, and state requirements. Using secure teletherapy platforms and digital therapy materials, you will conduct screenings, standardized assessments, and ongoing treatment for a range of speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and social communication needs. You will collaborate regularly with IEP teams to participate in virtual meetings, contribute to eligibility determinations, and provide professional recommendations to support student success in both academic and social environments. This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys working independently in a remote environment while still being part of a supportive and collaborative team. IEP Therapy fosters a culture focused on personalized care, professional growth, and empowering each therapist to make a meaningful impact. You will have access to resources for continuing education, clinical support, and professional development opportunities that help you grow your skills as a telepractice clinician. Core responsibilities include maintaining accurate and timely documentation, preparing clear and family‑friendly reports, managing a consistent virtual caseload, organizing therapy schedules, and communicating proactively with school partners. You will follow evidence‑based therapy practices and stay current on best practices in speech‑language pathology and telepractice. The Virtual Speech Language Pathologist will also provide strategies and training to teachers and parents to help generalize communication skills across settings. Qualified candidates are licensed Speech Language Pathologists with a master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders, holding or eligible for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA and appropriate state licensure for school‑based practice. Prior school‑based or pediatric experience and familiarity with IEP processes, special education documentation, and online therapy tools are strongly preferred. Strong organizational skills, clear written and verbal communication, cultural responsiveness, and comfort with technology are essential. In this role, you will enjoy the flexibility of remote work while contributing directly to student outcomes and educational access. By joining IEP Therapy, you become part of a mission‑driven organization that values collaboration, quality of services, and the long‑term success of the students and districts we serve.
