About the Role
Med-Trans Corporation is seeking a skilled VFR Helicopter Pilot for its Med-Trans EG air medical operation in the Emergency Services department. As a VFR Helicopter Pilot, you will safely operate a modern rotorcraft in an air medical transport environment, providing rapid response for scene calls and inter-facility transports in partnership with hospitals and EMS agencies. You will work closely with flight paramedics, flight nurses, dispatchers, and medical control staff to ensure safe, efficient, and timely transport of critically ill and injured patients.
In this role, you will perform pre-flight planning, weather evaluation, risk assessments, weight-and-balance calculations, and flight following in strict compliance with FAA regulations, company standard operating procedures, and industry best practices. During each mission, you will maintain continuous situational awareness, communicate clearly with air traffic control, ground EMS, and hospital teams, and execute safe VFR operations in day, night, and challenging environments while adhering to Med-Trans’ safety-first culture. You will be responsible for completion of all required flight and maintenance logs, documentation of operations, and participation in safety and quality assurance programs.

As part of this team, you will actively contribute to a supportive, safety-first environment that values teamwork, professionalism, and clinical excellence. You will participate in recurrent training, simulator sessions, flight checks, and safety briefings to enhance your skills and maintain currency and proficiency. The position requires a commitment to 24/7 emergency operations, including rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as readiness to respond quickly to launch requests.
This opportunity offers the chance to make a direct impact on patient outcomes by ensuring reliable, safe, and timely air medical transport in your community. You will be expected to uphold the highest standards of airmanship, judgment, and crew resource management, actively engage in ongoing professional development, and champion Med-Trans’ core values of safety, teamwork, and service while supporting the delivery of high-quality pre-hospital and inter-facility care.
