Traveling Nuclear Medicine Tech

About the Role

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled nuclear medicine technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team where you’ll be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive drugs and operate radiation detection and imaging equipment.


Minimum Requirements

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology.
  • Registered nuclear medicine technologist credential (RT(N)) or CNMT.
  • State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine or ability to obtain state license (pending state license accepted).
  • BLS certification.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a nuclear medicine technologist.
  • Experience performing stress tests/studies, hepatobiliary, VQ scans, thyroid/parathyroid imaging, GI studies, bone scans, sentinel node procedures, and I-131 non-therapeutic procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and to open and close a department.
  • Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs.
  • First-time travel clinicians accepted (preferred: previous hospital acute care experience).

Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Acute Care Hospital.
  • Shift name: Days.
  • Shift details: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30). M-F rotating shifts include 07:00-15:30, 07:30-16:00, 08:00-16:30, 08:30-17:00.
  • Daily caseload per technologist: Up to 12 across three rooms.
  • Call: No on-call required.
  • Float requirement: Clinician may be asked to float within scope to meet facility needs. Float to sister facilities is not required.
  • Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week for standard shifts; alternate guaranteed hours apply for other shift structures per facility policy.
