Traveling Nuclear Medicine Tech

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled nuclear medicine technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team where you will be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive drugs and operating radiation detection and imaging equipment.
Minimum Requirements
An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent. State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine as required by state regulations. BLS certification. Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT (N) certification required. Experience operating GE Discovery 630 Dual Head and GE PET 8 desirable. Experience with EPIC charting and McKesson PACS preferred. Ability to pass client radius rule requirement: candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the client and driver’s license will be used to verify distance at submittal. Compliance with client fingernail policy: artificial nails prohibited for patient care staff. Willingness to wear provided radiation badge while on assignment. Preferred but not required: additional ARRT credentials such as RT(R), CT, or MR. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred.
Assignment Details
Facility type: Hospital. Unit: Nuclear Medicine. Shift: Days. Shift hours: (standard), with notes indicating Monday–Friday; no weekends, no call. Orientation: approximately 12 hours (1–3 shifts of unit-specific orientation). Charting system: EPIC. Radiation badge provided by client. Floating: XR/CT licensed techs may float to XR/CT; MRI and NM techs with extra licenses may float to additional modalities. Only appropriately licensed staff will float to those areas. Cancellation policy: client may cancel up to 4 shifts for a 13-week assignment (3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks).
