We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Bishop, CA. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; As an SLP, you will be responsible for assisting patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluating and developing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.
As an SLP, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Speech-Language Pathologists - SLP THER - Travel
