Minimum Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • Active Virginia SLP license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is preferred.
  • Experience evaluating and treating dysphagia and cognitive-communication disorders is preferred.
