Join our team as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Dothan, AL at a skilled nursing facility. Provide evaluation and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders in a post-acute care setting. Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent experience.
  • Active Alabama state SLP license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC.
  • Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
  • Experience with dysphagia management, modified barium swallow studies, and common geriatric diagnoses preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in skilled nursing facilities or post-acute care environments.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records used in long-term care settings.
  • Strong documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills.

Assignment Details

  • Guaranteed 35 hours per week.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide skilled speech-language services to support functional communication, cognition, and swallowing safety for residents in a skilled nursing environment.
