Job Opportunity Job Summary The Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist plays a crucial role in performing both routine and complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the Angio Interventional Radiology and Neuro IR services. Responsibilities include extra-cranial and intracranial angiography, vertebroplasty, spinal injections, myelograms, cisternograms, embolizations, cryoablations, coilings, and clot retrievals. The position serves various stakeholders, including employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies, with a strong emphasis on enhancing customer service. Job Responsibilities Provide technical support for various IR and neurointerventional procedures, including discograms, aspirations, therapeutic injections, angiography, and ablations. Assist in neurointerventional procedures, such as tumor embolization and spinal lesion embolization, maintaining both sterile and non-sterile environments. Operate advanced imaging equipment, adhering to established guidelines and imaging protocols for interventional and neurointerventional procedures. Ensure compliance with safety standards and radiation safety practices. Instruct and mentor students and residents, performing preceptor duties as needed. Conduct quality assurance checks on imaging equipment. Assist in managing and maintaining supply inventory for all IR and neuro IR procedures. Utilize UHS information systems for IR scheduling and documentation. Review coding procedures to ensure accurate billing of neuro IR and IR procedures. Engage in continuous learning through attending lectures, seminars, and educational readings to stay updated on new techniques and technology. Adhere to accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures during all interventional diagnostic procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all policies regarding incident reporting. Perform additional related duties as required.
