American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for an outpatient rehabilitation setting at an APTA Award-Winning private practice in the Asheville, NC area.
Details- Outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation clinic setting in Candler, NC (Asheville area)
- 13-week contract with a standard 5x8 schedule or possible alternative schedule arrangement
- Day shift position
- Responsibilities span evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning for a diverse outpatient patient population
- EMR used for documentation of evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- Degree in Physical Therapy required
- Active NC PT license required if applicable
- Proficiency in EMR documentation required
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs and assist patients with transfers, mobility, and ambulation safety
- Ability to remain physically active throughout 8–10 hour shifts, including walking, standing, and stool sitting
- Strong computer skills required, including typing, Microsoft Word, internet, and EMR platforms
- Proficiency in diagnosis and ICD-10 coding for billing of services
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
- This clinic was awarded Private Practice of the Year by the APTA
- Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, supervising PT Assistants and Aides, and collaborating with physicians and front office staff
- Clinician is expected to supervise PT Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care
- Role involves participation in business marketing and referral processes when necessary
- Familiarity with PT billing policies and procedures, including Medicare, workers' comp, private pay, and auto is beneficial
- Continuing education is encouraged and preferred
- HIPAA compliance and patient privacy protection are core expectations of this role
- No travel outside the clinic is expected
