Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Florida physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or hospital-based physical therapy preferred.
• Experience with Meditech (Expanse) documentation preferred.
• Ability to perform patient evaluations, ADLs, transfers, gait training, therapeutic exercise, and functional training.
• Comfort working in a unit with a typical patient ratio of approximately 7:1.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Experience with balance and gait systems preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 08:00 – 17:00.
• Work schedule: 40 hours per week.
• Unit: Inpatient rehab unit; typical caseload includes post-acute inpatient rehabilitation patients.
• Documentation system: Meditech (Expanse).
• Weekend rotation required.
• Dress code: light gray scrubs.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide inpatient rehabilitation services including patient evaluations, ADL training, transfers, family and patient education, gait training, therapeutic exercise, and functional training. Contribute to a multidisciplinary team consisting of PT/OT/SLP and rehab technicians. Support unit start-up activities when applicable and maintain documentation in Meditech (Expanse).
