Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Florida physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or hospital-based physical therapy preferred.
- Experience with Meditech (Expanse) documentation preferred.
- Ability to perform patient evaluations, ADLs, transfers, gait training, therapeutic exercise, and functional training.
- Comfort working in a unit with a typical patient ratio of approximately 7:1.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment preferred.
- Experience with balance and gait systems preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 08:00 – 17:00.
- Work schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Unit: Inpatient rehab unit; typical caseload includes post-acute inpatient rehabilitation patients.
- Documentation system: Meditech (Expanse).
- Weekend rotation required.
- Dress code: light gray scrubs.

Impacting Patient Care
Provide inpatient rehabilitation services including patient evaluations, ADL training, transfers, family and patient education, gait training, therapeutic exercise, and functional training. Contribute to a multidisciplinary team consisting of PT/OT/SLP and rehab technicians. Support unit start-up activities when applicable and maintain documentation in Meditech (Expanse).
