American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week rehab assignment in West Branch, MI, with experience in acute care settings required.
Details- Rehab setting with primarily acute care and some outpatient caseload
- Day shift: Mon–Thu 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, Fri 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- 13-week contract
- Active Michigan OT license required (license required if applicable)
- OT experience required, with a background primarily in acute care
- Active AHA BLS certification required
- Valid skills checklist current within the last year (Occupational Therapy)
- 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last 2 years
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Evaluate patient function using formal and informal testing measures across skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, developmental, social, and cognitive domains
- Develop and document goal-specific treatment plans coordinated with physician orders, updating plans of care as patient status changes
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on condition, prognosis, and treatment rationale
- Provide supervision to Occupational Therapist Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students per regulatory standards
- No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
