American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation assignment in Colorado.
Details- Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation therapy setting
- Monday–Friday schedule
- 13-week contract
- Active Colorado OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Valid NBCOT registration certification required
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently, with full range of motion in all major joints
- Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods, and sit up to 2 hours at a time
- Manual dexterity required to operate equipment and computers
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
- Implement therapy programs addressing ADLs, sensorimotor activities, prevocational and vocational skills, and functional tasks
- Complete discharge planning in coordination with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare team members
- Design and instruct patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs and recommend appropriate assistive equipment
- Supervises Rehab Aides and contributes to in-service training and staff development
- Reports to the Rehabilitation Services Director and works closely with the Rehabilitation Services Manager and related clinical departments
- Work environment is indoors; may involve exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials
