Allied Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available
Opportunity:
Clinical Professional - Interventional Technologist
Job Details:
• Provide advanced procedural and radiologic support to physicians in a sterile environment
• Assist in pre and post procedural patient care with cross-training to scrub on all procedures
• Rotate on-call responsibilities as part of the team
• Document chronological events of procedures and medical care in Epic system
• Assist with image management and processing while troubleshooting equipment problems
• Provide patient care during non-cardiac procedures including mechanical thrombectomies, angioplasty, stent placements, biopsies, line placements, thrombolysis, embolizations, coils, drainage catheters, and IVC filters
• Operate specialized equipment during procedures including rotational angiography with 3-D reconstruction, ultrasound guidance, contrast injectors, and detachable coils
• Monitor patient's level of moderate sedation during procedures
• Maintain clean and well-stocked work environment with daily equipment checks
• Minimum 6 months of related experience required
• Must complete accredited Radiologic Technology Program
• Required certifications: ARRT Registered Radiology Technologist and BLS through American Heart Association
• Must be capable of wearing lead aprons for extended periods
• Level 1 Trauma Experience required
• Epic experience preferred
• Attend vendor in-services and train new personnel
