Shift:
11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday
Includes on-call, rotational weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
• Active New York State license/registration required
• Minimum one (1) year of CT/MRI experience as a Radiologic Technologist required
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists. The technologist will ensure quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and prepare patients for radiologic examinations
• Explain imaging procedures and position patients appropriately
• Select proper exposure factors to obtain quality diagnostic images
• Practice radiation safety and protection standards
• Operate imaging equipment efficiently and report equipment malfunctions as needed
• Process films/images and maintain accurate documentation within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Follow departmental policies, procedures, and imaging protocols
• Perform examinations based on referring physician and radiologist orders
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of imaging equipment
Required Skills:
• Strong knowledge of CT/MRI imaging procedures
• Familiarity with radiology equipment and RIS systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Strong understanding of radiation safety standards
