CT Technologist - CT Tech
Job Details:
• Conduct and assist in CT examinations under supervision of CT Supervisor
• Provide patient care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Prepare and position patients for scans according to department procedures
• Explain procedures and risks to patients and families
• Obtain signed or verbal consent from patients or legal guardians
• Set up equipment and perform CT examinations
• Utilize power injector and administer IV contrast materials
• Start and maintain IV lines according to hospital policies
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after scans
• Transport patients to and from Radiology Department
• Perform quality assurance and record keeping duties
• Schedule examinations and coordinate with various departments
• Maintain scan rooms and equipment
• Take call on rotational basis with 24-hour availability
• Required education: Completion of formal radiologic technology training in AMA approved school
• Required certifications: ARRT registry, current CPR certification
• Preferred: CT certification and up to one year CT experience
• Must demonstrate proficiency in operating CT scanners
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 300 pounds, standing 2+ hours daily, sitting 5+ hours
• Must maintain continuing education requirements for ARRT license
