Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by APTA.
  • Valid Florida Physical Therapist license required.
  • Acute care experience required.
  • MPT or DPT degree from an accredited college or university.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience working in inpatient or acute care hospital settings preferred.
  • Meditech EMR experience preferred.
  • ICU experience preferred.

Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital, inpatient physical therapy (acute care) including inpatient rehab unit.
  • Shift: Days.
  • Shift hours: 08:00–16:30.
  • Typical patient load: approximately 9–10 patients per day (75% productivity standard).
  • Unit equipment: mobility equipment used for evaluations and treatment.
  • Staffing: daytime multidisciplinary team including PT, OT, and SLP; night shift not applicable for this unit.
  • Staff size: roughly 20 physical therapy caregivers on unit.
  • Float requirement: may be expected to work across multiple floors within the main hospital building.
