Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Tucson, AZ. We seek a dedicated Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily living and work skills while working in an acute hospital environment. This role emphasizes patient- and employee-safety practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, thorough documentation, and participation in discharge planning and caregiver education.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Arizona Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience performing evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and documenting progress in an acute hospital setting.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning.
- Experience with safe patient handling techniques and infection control practices.
- Ability to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and OT students when applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel or contract therapy experience preferred.
- Experience with adaptive equipment selection and family caregiver training preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8 (five shifts per week, eight hours per shift).
