Technical Solutions Architect
About the Role
The ideal candidate will serve as the bridge between Procurement, Finance, Supplier Operations, and Technology teams, helping modernize and optimize procurement visibility across a large global hospitality ecosystem.
This individual should be capable of walking into a fragmented procurement environment and architecting scalable, strategic solutions that improve supplier visibility, spend transparency, supplier master management, and enterprise-wide procurement efficiency.
The hiring manager emphasized that procurement domain expertise is the top priority. Strong technical architecture skills are important, but success in this role depends on understanding how procurement organizations operate and how technology can enable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Solution Architecture
- Architect and design enterprise procurement solutions across Source-to-Pay (S2P), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), supplier management, and spend analytics platforms
- Lead architecture initiatives focused on supplier visibility, supplier master data management, supplier deduplication, and procurement optimization
- Design scalable integration strategies between procurement platforms, ERP systems, analytics tools, and supplier ecosystems
- Evaluate current procurement technologies and recommend improved platforms, processes, or architectural approaches
- Develop future-state procurement architecture roadmaps aligned with business strategy
Supplier & Spend Management
- Architect solutions that improve visibility into:
- Supplier relationships
- Supplier spend
- Enterprise-wide purchasing trends
- Supplier identity management
- Contract and pricing optimization
- Design supplier master data governance and deduplication strategies across multiple systems
- Enable meaningful spend analytics and procurement reporting capabilities
Enterprise Integrations & Technology Strategy
- Lead API-driven integration architecture across procurement and enterprise platforms
- Collaborate with engineering teams on scalable, secure, and maintainable integration patterns
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate procurement challenges into technology solutions
- Drive architectural governance and technical standards for procurement systems
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, Analytics, and IT leadership
- Facilitate architecture discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Serve as a trusted advisor during procurement transformation initiatives
- Provide strategic recommendations around procurement optimization and technology modernization
Required Qualifications
Procurement Domain Expertise (Most Important)
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Source-to-Pay (S2P)
- Supplier/Vendor Management
- Supplier Master Data
- Spend Analytics
- Procurement Transformation Programs
- Deep understanding of procurement operations and supplier ecosystems
- Experience solving supplier duplication and procurement visibility challenges
Technical & Architecture Experience
- 10+ years of enterprise architecture or solution architecture experience
- Strong background integrating procurement systems with ERP platforms
- Experience with API-led integrations and enterprise integration patterns
- Experience designing scalable procurement and analytics architectures
- Strong understanding of cloud-based enterprise solutions
Preferred Technology Experience
Experience with some or all of the following:
- GEP Procurement Platform
- PeopleSoft Financials
- Salesforce Ecosystem
- GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
- Tableau
- Coupa
- SAP Ariba
- Oracle Procurement
- ERP integrations
- REST APIs and middleware platforms

Education & Certifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
Preferred
- TOGAF Certification
- Cloud Architect Certifications (GCP/AWS/Azure)
- Procurement platform certifications (Coupa, Ariba, GEP, Oracle)
- CPSM, PMP, or SAFe certifications
