About the Role

Seasonal Building Services Summer Help

Under supervision of Sheboygan County Building Services management, the LTE will be exposed to a building service role while performing meaningful work to support Sheboygan County operations. By the conclusion of the season, the individual should be qualified and prepared for an entry-level operations position with building services.

Essential Duties

Summer Help LTEs assume responsibility for various maintenance of County-owned buildings under the jurisdiction of the Building Services Department. Activities include, but are not limited to, lawn maintenance, trim vegetation (both by hand and utilizing power tools), water flowers, apply herbicide treatments, paint as necessary and clean glass doors/windows at all ten properties the Department is responsible for.

Qualifications
  • Be over the age of 18
  • Ability to understand and effectively carryout oral and written instructions.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Possess knowledge of vegetation identification.
  • Ability to operate lawnmowers, hand tools and small power tools.
  • Ability to work independently in an outdoor setting on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to utilize computers for payroll and email systems.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Mainly outdoor setting
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
