Position Title - SUMMER GROUNDSKEEPER

Classification Title - Summer Grounds Assistant

Department - Facilities Operations

Salary Range - Hourly Salary: $15.00

Hours - 40

Reports To - Paul Ricci

Job Description Summary - Cutting grass and fields using ride-on, stand on, and/or walk-behind lawn mower. Planting, pruning, trimming of trees, flowers, shrubs and hedges using power and non-power hedge trimmer or saw. Perform weed abatement using power and non-power weed trimmer or shovel. Plant, fertilize, edge, trim de-thatch, mulch and water lawn, flowers, shrubs and trees as needed. Ensure that the grounds in and around the campus remain clear and free of litter at all times. Set up tables, chairs and other related equipment for events on campus. Assist faculty and staff with furniture moves on campus as needed. Perform other related work as assigned and deemed necessary to attain College objectives. Clean, maintain and perform basic maintenance of tools and equipment to include such as tasks as lubricating, sharpening, replacing broken handles, making simple adjustments and repairs as necessary.

Job Requirements - Valid Driver's License required
