Substitute Grounds Worker
About the Role
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Business Services, to perform a variety of grounds maintenance and gardening duties, including planting, cultivating, and maintaining lawns, trees, fields, shrubs, and landscaped grounds of assigned grounds and landscaped areas; to make routine repairs to sprinkler systems; to maintain, cultivate, and repair athletic fields; and to do related grounds maintenance work as required.
The Substitute Grounds Worker will be contacted when an employee's absence dictates the need. Preferred hours of availability are Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.
Offer of employment will be contingent on the following: Negative TB Test, Successful DOJ fingerprint/screening, Physical Test, Negative Drug Screen.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair grounds and landscaped areas
- Mow and cultivate lawns, trees, shrubs; maintain athletic fields
- Repair sprinkler systems
