Stroke Coordinator
About the Role
Education:
• Graduate from a school of nursing is required.
Experience:
• 1 year experience in acute care.
Licensure:
• Active RN (Registered Nurse) license in state of practice is required.
Certification(s):
• Annual stroke education hours and competencies.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor‘s degree in nursing
Experience:
• Neurological care experience preferred.
Certification(s):
• Stroke certifications preferred (SCRN).
Physical Requirements:
• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate stroke patient care from admission to discharge
- Educate patients and families on post-stroke care and recovery
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
