Staff Data Engineer (remote)

In this role, you will be tasked with addressing complex data challenges while implementing innovative solutions that enhance our analytics capabilities. You will have an opportunity to work cross-functionally with teams in Data Science, Data Infrastructure, and Product Engineering, playing a vital role in the modernization of our analytics platform. Your contributions will influence strategic decisions and shape the future of our data-driven initiatives. By establishing analytics standards, you will help in driving data governance and compliance, making a significant impact on the organization. Accountabilities Lead the design and implementation of shared, reusable data models. Drive standardization of data engineering practices across teams. Partner with Data Infrastructure to modernize orchestration. Architect and implement a shift-left data governance strategy. Collaborate with Data Science leads to translate metric definitions. Reduce operational burden by improving pipeline observability. Evaluate and integrate AI-native tooling into the development lifecycle. Requirements BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field. 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering. 2+ years of SQL experience, including performance optimization. 8+ years of Python development experience. Expertise in dimensional data modeling and scalable data architecture. Strong experience with orchestration tools like Airflow. Ability to drive cross-team technical alignment effectively.
