Staff Up to $15,000 Bonus Based on Eligibility Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists. Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. Develops knowledge and skill sets required for extensive computer reconstruction, to include additional types of software (such as a Vitria workstation or similar), which performs advanced cardiac modeling. Maintains required knowledge and skill sets to perform advanced technical imaging, required by CT scanners of 64 slices and above. Develops advanced knowledge of 3-dimensional anatomy, in particular vascular and cardiovascular anatomy. Collects pertinent patient history and documents on requisition. Checks for accuracy of ordered exams by comparing to written physician order. Verifies correct patient by two forms of identity verification, prior to injecting patient or starting exam. Maintains patient confidentiality per established CHN policies regarding HIPAA rights and practices. Starts intravenous access as needed, and performs I.V. injections using proper technique. Understands how to treat patients with infiltrated IV sites. Understands management of patients with elevated Creatinine levels. Maintains proper oxygen therapy on patients who require oxygen. Maintains skills required to change oxygen tanks. Must be able to use masks and nasal canula. Adjusts rate of O2 flow with mask/nasal canula according to written physician orders. Secures, transports, and secures e-cylinders. Maintains radiation safety for women of childbearing age, in accordance with existing imaging department standards. Documents patient education on requisition/worksheet as appropriate. Minimum Requirements

Experience: Two (2) years experience in Computed Tomography (CT). Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program. Certifications: ARRT- R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist). ARRT- CT, obtain CT certification within 2 years of hire/transfer date. MRTBE CTCT (AZ Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners). Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
