About the Role
Skyline Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, a premier senior living community in Cañon City, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Speech Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in our skilled nursing facility. In this role, you will provide person-centered speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing therapy services to a diverse population of short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions aimed at maximizing functional communication, safe swallowing, and overall quality of life for each resident. Working collaboratively with our nursing staff, physicians, occupational and physical therapists, social services, and families, you will participate in interdisciplinary care planning, provide education and training on communication and swallowing strategies, and contribute to discharge planning and continuity of care. Your responsibilities will include completing timely and accurate documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and professional standards; monitoring and adjusting treatment plans based on resident progress; and helping to maintain a safe, respectful, and encouraging therapeutic environment. Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Experience with geriatric population preferred
