Speech Language Pathologist

IEP Therapy Mishawaka, Indiana, US

About the Role

IEP Therapy is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, providing high-quality speech and language services to school-aged children. In this role, you will work collaboratively with special education staff, classroom teachers, and families to identify students’ communication needs and develop individualized treatment plans that support their educational goals. You will conduct comprehensive speech, language, and fluency assessments; interpret evaluation results; and determine eligibility for school-based speech-language services in alignment with IDEA and district guidelines. Using evidence-based practices, you will deliver direct and indirect therapy in individual and group settings, targeting articulation, language, pragmatics, voice, and fluency, while monitoring student progress and adjusting goals as needed.

As a Speech Language Pathologist with IEP Therapy, you will take the lead in developing and contributing to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), writing clear, measurable goals and objectives, and documenting student performance in a timely and compliant manner. You will participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team conferences, and parent consultations, providing professional insight into students’ communication strengths and needs. Accurate and thorough documentation, including progress notes, evaluation reports, treatment plans, and Medicaid or third-party billing documentation (as applicable), will be an essential part of your responsibilities.

This position offers the opportunity to practice within a supportive and collaborative culture that emphasizes personalized care and professional growth. You will collaborate closely with school administrators, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other related service providers to ensure a coordinated approach to student support. IEP Therapy provides access to resources for continuing education and professional development, enabling you to expand your clinical skills, stay current with best practices, and pursue areas of specialization within speech-language pathology. You will also have opportunities to mentor or support early-career clinicians as appropriate, contributing to a culture of shared learning.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist who demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with children in an educational environment. You should be comfortable managing a caseload, organizing your schedule across multiple classrooms or school buildings, and using technology for documentation, virtual meetings, and in some cases teletherapy services. You will be expected to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, adhere to professional ethics, and uphold the standards of practice established by ASHA and local licensing boards.

At IEP Therapy, you will have the chance to make a meaningful, direct impact on students’ daily school experiences—helping them access the curriculum, build confidence, and participate more fully in school life. Our culture supports work-life balance, collaboration, and continuous improvement, empowering you to bring your full professional expertise to the students and schools you serve.
