About the Role

Software Testing & Requirements Business Associate (BPA 1) Office of Information Services (OIS) – Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) What You Will Do The STARS Business Associate contributes to clear and accurate requirements development, consistent project coordination, and effective communication between business partners and technical teams in order to deliver high‑quality IT solutions. Gather and analyze business requirements with system users and stakeholders. Facilitate requirements‑gathering sessions, document business problems, and capture technical details. Create and review process and flow diagrams to support solution design and decision‑making. Translate program policies, regulations, and user needs into actionable business and technical requirements. Validate requirements for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project goals. Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and project teams to clarify expectations and promote collaboration. Contribute to cross‑application analysis and planning to reduce delays and support timely delivery of system enhancements. Schedule & Location Full‑time. Standard workdays Monday‑Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The position is headquartered in an ODJFS facility in Columbus, Akron, or Dayton, based on proximity to the applicant’s home address. Travel State travel to counties and third‑party locations for risk assessments and audits (approx. one week/month). State vehicle will be available for use; no overnight trips. Qualifications Minimum experience and education requirements: 36 months of experience in creating & coordinating technical and business requirements, or 18 months of experience plus completion of an Associate’s core program in Computer Science or Information Systems, or 12 months of experience plus completion of an undergraduate core program in Computer Science or Information Systems, or Other equivalent qualifications as deemed acceptable by the agency. Pay Information Hourly pay range: $33.52 – $49.18. Step progression starts at $33.52 (Step 1) and increments annually through Step 9. Pay increases with continued employment and cost‑of‑living adjustments.
