Software Engineer- Remote

Job Description- Software Engineer (Remote) North Point Technology is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a fully remote role supporting commercial and enterprise clients across the United States. You will help design, build, and scale modern software systems while working with a high-performance, fast-moving team. At North Point, engineers own their work end-to-end- from technical design to production deployment- and contribute directly to the quality, reliability, and speed of our platforms. We are looking for someone who loves solving complex problems, writing clean code, and working in a collaborative environment. Primary Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable software systems across frontend, backend, or full-stack components Lead or contribute to complex technical projects from concept to production Write clean, testable, efficient code using modern frameworks and languages Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and engineering leadership Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and long-term technical planning Improve engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, and development workflows Troubleshoot and resolve issues across internal platforms and customer-facing applications Mentor junior engineers and support a culture of engineering excellence Basic Qualifications 5+ years of professional software engineering experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience Strong proficiency in at least one of the following: JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, HTML/CSS C++, C#, .NET Core Node.js, Go, Python, or similar backend languages Experience building or maintaining cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Experience with Agile development (Scrum or Kanban)Familiarity with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, environment provisioning, monitoring Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Strong troubleshooting and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience building distributed or highly scalable backend systems Experience owning features or systems end-to-end in production Background working in fast-paced, startup-style environments Experience mentoring other engineers Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architecture, or serverless technologies Experience in fintech, insurance, SaaS, or enterprise software Why North Point 100% remote work Fast career growth in a rapidly expanding technology division Opportunity to work directly with senior engineers, founders, and clients Competitive compensation + performance bonuses Health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits North Point Technology is THE BEST place to work for curious-minded engineers motivated to support our country’s most crucial missions!
