Senior Technical Architect
About the Role
Technical Architect On site 3 days/week in Chandler, AZ Pay rate: $70-$75/hr 12-18 Month Contract Seeking a Sr Technical Architect to lead the end‑to‑end architecture and delivery standards for an infrastructure console that serves multiple personas (operators, engineers, administrators) and integrates data from multiple enterprise and platform sources. This role will define the architectural blueprint for the console across front‑end experience, backend aggregation layers, data ingestion patterns, identity and access, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will set technical direction and guardrails, ensure the platform is scalable, secure, observable, and resilient, and guide teams in implementing consistent patterns for persona‑based UX, API design, data modeling, and testing automation. You will partner closely with product, UX, security, SRE, and engineering teams to translate macro requirements into a coherent and deliverable architecture. This role requires strong hands‑on technical depth, the ability to make pragmatic tradeoffs, and the leadership to drive cross‑team alignment on standards, reference implementations, and delivery quality. 10+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or architecture roles 5+ years of experience leading architecture for distributed systems and enterprise‑scale platforms Proven experience designing full‑stack architectures (front end + BFF/API + data/integrations) for complex consoles or internal platforms Strong knowledge of API architecture and governance: versioning, contracts, error taxonomy, pagination/filtering, and backward compatibility Deep understanding of authentication/authorization (RBAC/ABAC, SSO, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, mTLS concepts) Experience establishing observability standards (metrics, logs, traces) and driving SLO/SLA‑aligned monitoring Strong experience defining testing strategies across unit, integration, contract, and end‑to‑end testing Demonstrated ability to lead technical decisions, influence stakeholders, and mentor senior engineers Proficiency with Git‑based workflows and modern CI/CD practices Experience with enterprise automation and orchestration platforms, such as BMC TrueSight Orchestrator or equivalent tools Strong background in database schema design, performance tuning, and optimization Working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL processes, and familiarity with related tools and workflows Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration concepts, including authentication, error handling, and versioning Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following industry best practices Hands‑on experience with source control systems and collaborative development methodologies (e.g., Git‑based workflows) Familiarity with automated testing methodologies, with particular emphasis on functional and regression testing tools such as TOSCA Pay And Benefits: Medical, dental & vision Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre‑tax and Roth post‑tax contributions available Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) Short and long‑term disability Health Spending Account (HSA) Transportation benefits Employee Assistance Program Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) Workplace Type: hybrid position in Chandler, AZ.
