About the Role
Smithfield Foods - - Responsibilities: Assist facility EHS teams to maintain a safe working environment and ensure the uniform application of environmental, health, and safety programs; Review and revise SOPs, control plans, and Smithfield established programs and policies to ensure effective implementation of corporate programs; Assist facilities in conducting water, energy, waste and food loss and waste management reviews and report submissions; Ensure safety compliance with federal regulations and corporate requirements such as SIPS, PSM, and EMS and ensure permits are submitted in a timely manner; Lead corporate audit teams and assist in evaluating risk and implementing related programs through site audits and evaluations
Responsibilities
- Lead safety audits and improve EHS programs at facilities
- Assist in developing and revising environmental and safety SOPs and control plans
- Support facility risk assessments and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field
- 5+ years in EHS management
- Strong knowledge of federal EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA) and corporate EHS programs
