Senior Developer

Overview Slingshot is looking for a talented, senior-level developer who brings serious technical depth, strong engineering fundamentals, and a high bar for quality. We want someone who leads from the front, makes smart architecture decisions, mentors teammates, and takes real ownership of the work. You care about building things the right way, and you bring that standard to everything you ship. In this role, you’ll architect and build full-stack web applications, lead technical work across projects of varying size and complexity, and collaborate directly with clients and internal teams. The team you’ll join includes other mid and senior-level developers, product managers, UX designers, and QA analysts. You should already be working with AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow, not experimenting with them occasionally, but relying on them to move faster and build better. Just as importantly, you’re someone who embraces change, stays curious as the tools and landscape evolve, and adapts how you work as AI continues to advance. We’re looking for someone who is… Is genuinely excited about how AI is changing software development and already uses tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code as a core part of their daily workflow, not an occasional experiment Has gone beyond autocomplete, whether that’s building with agents, integrating LLMs into products, or pushing into what agentic development actually looks like in practice Has 5+ years of experience architecting and delivering full-stack web applications, with deep experience in .NET and comfort across the entire stack, including frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js Takes ownership of features end-to-end, from architecture decisions to deployment, and leads technical work without needing it broken down Provides technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, and influencing how the team approaches hard problems Has strong fundamentals in relational databases, APIs, and back-end architecture, and writes SQL like they mean it Writes clean, testable, well-documented code and sweats the details Communicates clearly with technical teammates and non-technical clients alike, and is comfortable representing Slingshot as a technical expert on customer-facing calls Is collaborative by nature and enjoys working alongside developers, designers, product managers, and clients Is not afraid to experiment and is comfortable with ambiguity and learning on the fly Is located within the Greater Louisville region Why you want to work here You like helping businesses achieve new things with technology You want to work with a group that operates with genuine care, integrity, and a healthy sense of fun You like autonomy and are infinitely curious We were founded by developers and put tremendous trust and value in their work You believe AI tools make developers better, not redundant, and you want to work somewhere that agrees You are highly passionate and want to work with others who are too Generous PTO and holiday time off, including your birthday 401(k) with company match Quarterly bonuses Flexible hours and remote-friendly culture No dress code (except when needed for clients) Zero politics.
