Become a part of our caring communityWe are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to lead analytics initiatives supporting sales commission programs and digital product analytics using Heap within a healthcare environment. This role partners with Sales Operations, Finance, Product, and Engineering to ensure accurate commission reporting, actionable insights, and scalable analytics solutions that support growth, compliance, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesCommission Analytics & ReportingDesign, develop, and maintain end-to-end commission analytics supporting sales incentive plans, payouts, and performance tracking.Build and validate complex commission logic, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness.Partner with Sales Operations and Finance to support compensation plan design, forecasting, and trend analysis.Create scalable dashboards and self-service reporting that provide visibility into quota attainment, earnings, and sales performance.Heap Analytics & Product InsightsOwn and optimize Heap instrumentation, ensuring accurate event tracking and data governance.Translate digital engagement data into actionable insights across patient, provider, and payer journeys.Develop funnels, behavioral cohorts, and retention analyses to inform product and business decisions.Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define analytics requirements and success metrics.Data Engineering & BI SolutionsDevelop and maintain data models, ETLs, and semantic layers supporting commission and product analytics.Optimize performance and reliability of BI systems and dashboards.Establish best practices for data quality, validation, and junior BI engineers and analysts.Stakeholder CollaborationServe as a trusted analytics partner to Sales, Finance, Product, and Leadership teams.Present insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.Support ad-hoc analysis and executive-level reporting requests.Use your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data EngineeringExpertise in SQL and relational data modelingHands-on experience with commission systems (custom or vendor-based)Experience using Heap or similar digital analytics platformsExperience building dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalentStrong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and audit controlsAbility to work cross-functionally in a regulated environmentPreferred QualificationsHealthcare industry experience (payer, provider, life sciences, or health tech)Experience with HIPAA-compliant data environmentsFamiliarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)Experience supporting Sales Compensation or Revenue Operations teamsKnowledge of Python or dbt for analytics engineeringExperience working with large-scale event dataBenefitsFull time associates enjoy:Medical, Dental, Vision, and a variety of other supplemental insurancesPaid time off (PTO) & Paid Holidays401(k) retirement savings planTuition reimbursement and/or scholarships for qualifying dependent children.And much more!Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.Scheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, education, certifications, etc.$89,000 - $121,400 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in BI/analytics
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills
